The National Register of Public Service Interpreters Ltd (NRPSI Ltd) owns and operates both the NRPSI Register and the National Register of Public Service Translators (NRPST) as well as their corresponding websites. By using this NRPST website and the NRPSI website, you agree to accept the following terms and conditions
General Terms and Conditions
All content on these websites, unless uploaded by users, including, but not limited to, text, graphics, logos, icons, images, sound clips, video clips, data compilations, page layout, search algorithms, underlying code and software is the property of NRPSI Ltd, our affiliates or other relevant third parties. By continuing to use the website you acknowledge that such material is protected by applicable United Kingdom and International intellectual property and other laws.
Any material reproduced from these websites must give clear acknowledgment of the source and the copyright holder.
Whilst NRPSI Ltd uses reasonable endeavours to ensure the websites are secure and free of errors, viruses and other malware, all users are advised to take responsibility for their own security, that of their personal details and their computers.
Availability of these Websites and On-line Registers
These websites are provided ‘as is’ and on an ‘as available’ basis. All information is presented in good faith. We give no warranty that the websites will be free of defects and / or faults. To the maximum extent permitted by law, NRPSI Ltd accepts no liability for any direct or indirect loss or damage, foreseeable or otherwise, including any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from the use of the website or any information contained therein. Users should be aware that they use the website and its content at their own risk.
NRPSI Ltd accepts no liability for any disruption or non-availability of these websites resulting from external causes including, but not limited to, ISP equipment failure, host equipment failure, communications network failure, power failure, natural events, acts of war or terrorism or legal restrictions and censorship.
Users should only use the details provided in the on-line Registers for the purposes that they are made available, ie to obtain accredited interpreters and translators for engagement in public service interpreting environments, or to check that those presenting themselves as Registered Interpreters or Registered Translators are currently on either of the Registers.
The National Registers are dynamic databases and so should be consulted on each occasion a Registered Interpreter or Registered Translator is required for an engagement or on each occasion the credentials of a Registered Interpreter or Registered Translator needs to be checked.
Wholesale downloading of Registrants’ details in bulk is not permitted, unless by exceptional licence between NRPSI Ltd and public service bodies. The existence of any such licences (eg that with the Metropolitan Police in London) will be publicised to all Registrants on all Registers by NRPSI Ltd.
Registrants have asked for information to be made available on the on-line Register, and should understand that the NRPSI and NRPST websites are open access and any such information can be accessed by anyone including members of the public and commercial agencies.
While some information about Registrants is mandatory to be publically available, Registrants agree that it is their responsibility to decide which information is made available where they have the choice.
Registrants on both NRPSI and NRPST agree not to hold NRPSI Ltd responsible for any use the information on the public record is put to by a third party and agree that any personal information Registrants have asked to be displayed on the open access on-line register is at their own risk.
Registrants should recognise their responsibility as professional interpreters and translators to ensure the information on the on-line Register is correct, up-to-date and an honest and fair representation of their skills and experience and must inform NRPSI Ltd immediately if this information changes.
NRPSI Ltd reserves the right to remove any information not verified by us, including qualifications, CPD, and unregistered languages and to remove inappropriate content.
Registrants should be aware that if they have knowingly supplied incorrect information, their registration with either of the National Registers could be suspended or withdrawn.

We assume no responsibility for the content of such websites and disclaim liability for any and all forms of loss or damage arising out of the use of them. Changes to these Terms and Conditions
NRPSI Ltd reserves the right to change the NRPSI or NRPST websites, their content or these Terms and Conditions at any time. As these Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time, you should check regularly to make sure you are aware of the up-to-date current version. NRPSI Ltd will endeavour to publicise major changes. If NRPSI Ltd is required to make any changes to Terms and Conditions by law, these changes will apply automatically as soon as they take place.
